Overview
This accelerated PM² Group course, is based on the official Open PM² Foundation Certified exam by the Open PM² Group and meets the exact standards and requirements of the Centre of Excellence in PM² (CoEPM²) of the European Commission.
The PM² course provides a solid theoretical foundation and guidelines on the practical application of project management processes, tools, and techniques. This unique course is particularly relevant for those organizations and people involved in international collaborative EU-funded projects, for those willing to apply for EU grants or any organisation interested in adopting a lean and efficient project management methodology.
Upon completion of the course, you will also be able to:
- Make effective use of PM² for the management of projects
- Understand the implementation of core project management processes
- Effectively use the PM² Artefacts for initiating, defining the scope of a project and understanding how to manage it
- Understand key project planning tools and techniques
- Understand project scheduling and estimating, including Gantt Charts and network diagrams
- Understand project budgeting and cost management.
At the end of this course, you’ll achieve your PM² Group certification.

Curriculum
PM² Group
The standard training path that candidates need to follow in order to access the Certification consists of the following modules:
- C1: PM² Essentials, project management methodology (eLearning module available on EU-learn and EU-academy).
- C2: PM² in Practice: a two-day training that focuses on all details of the methodology and includes hands-on exercises.
- C3: Managing Risks: a one-day training on the managing of risks which also includes practical exercises.
- C4: a one-day training on managing requirements and stakeholders.
Exam Track
At the end of this accelerated course, you’ll sit the following exam at the Firebrand Training centre, covered by your Certification Guarantee:
PM² Group
- Duration: 75 minutes
- Format: This is a ‘closed book’ exam. Proctored or invigilated.
- Passing score: There are 100 questions, each worth 1 mark. Pass mark 70 marks You will need to get 70 questions correct (70%) to pass the exam.
- Languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian and German.

Before attending this accelerated course, you should ideally have some work experience on projects. Pre-read material is provided prior to the training and is expected to be fully read before attending the course.
