Are Skills Bootcamps really free?
Yes. Skills Bootcamps are a UK Government initiative and are fully funded by the Department for Education.
However, Skills Bootcamps are not free training; rather, they are an employability scheme that allows you to train for free in order to get a job. As part of the scheme, you have to interview for the companies and roles chosen for you by the Firebrand Support Team.
There are a few eligibility requirements to check before you apply, but Skills Bootcamps are designed to be accessible to everyone looking to enhance their skills.

Do I need experience in tech to apply?
Skills Bootcamps are entry-level, so they don’t require previous work experience. However, we do need to ensure you have a foundation of knowledge in your chosen subject before you enrol.

Is it true that learners receive BCS membership?
Yes. All Firebrand Skills Bootcamp learners receive a free one-year Associate (AMBCS) Membership with the British Computer Society (BCS). Perks include professional recognition, networking, and training support.
