Skills Bootcamps are free for learners because they are funded by the Government.

To claim this funding, you must meet certain criteria. 

Please check the following rules before you apply to make sure you can be enrolled.

You are eligible for a Skills Bootcamp if:

  • you are 19 years old and over
  • you have the right to live and work in England, UK
  • you currently live in England
  • you are: 
    • in self-funded education, such as university
    • employed
    • self-employed
    • ex-military
    • redeployed
    • ex-Blue-Light
    • returning from an absence such as parental leave
    • interested in changing your career
    • unemployed for less than 12 consecutive months and/or have claimed Universal Credit, JSA, ESA, State Benefit for that time


You are ineligible for a Skills Bootcamp if:

  • you are under 19 years old
  • you do not have the right to live and work in England, UK and/or have other visa restrictions
  • you do not live in England
  • you are currently enrolled in any other Skills Bootcamp or have attended one in the past year


If you are currently in a Digital role, you are not eligible for funding unless you apply as an Upskill, unless:

  • you are in a temporary contract and can be deferred until you're no longer employed
  • your company is being liquidated and you're looking for work to support your family
  • you've claimed Universal Credit as a couple but were inligible and stopped the Universal Credit


In addition to the above, prospective candidates from abroad must fulfil the following Visa requirements.
