According to Government data, the civilian job market sees over 14,000 service leavers arrive each year, bringing with them incredible talent forged in unique environments.

From engineers and pilots to nurses and chefs, all ex-forces personnel have significant experience to bring to a new civilian career.

In recognition of these transferable skills and technical abilities, Firebrand Skills Bootcamps are working in partnership with FDM Group to provide opportunities within their Ex-Forces Programme, supporting the transition of ex-military personnel to a career in technology.

What is the FDM Ex-Forces Programme?

This programme is designed for ex-forces personnel by ex-forces personnel. Whether they have just left service or have industry experience, they receive fully funded training, industry-recognised qualifications, ongoing support, and commercial experience with leading global companies.

This opportunity is open to a wide range of ex-forces, including Veterans, Ex-Police and Blue Light personnel, Service Leavers, Serving Reservists, and Ex-Military (including Spouses and Partners).

By completing a Skills Bootcamp with Firebrand, you can enhance your application to the FDM Ex-Forces Programme with free training. This will allow you to gain the fundamentals, making the transition into your next chapter as smooth as possible.

How can I apply?

Stand out from the crowd and secure your opportunity with FDM’s Ex-Forces Programme by completing one of our Skills Bootcamps in Software Engineering (Python).

This is how it works:

• Complete your 12-week online training program with Firebrand
• Receive industry-recognised certifications and 6 months of employment support from Firebrand
• Upon completion of training, receive an interview opportunity for FDM’s Ex-Forces Programme

Skills Bootcamps in partnership with FDM will run from April 2023, with employment opportunities from July 2023 onwards.

Should candidates be successful, the FDM Ex-Forces Programme is offered at locations throughout the North, Midlands, and South of England.
