Overview

On this 4 day accelerated MCSE: Core Infrastructure (Securing Windows Server 2016) course, you will learn technologies and methods for hardening server environments and securing virtual machine infrastructures.

This course is 33% faster than traditional courses. This means you’ll get back to the office sooner, ready to apply your new skills.

This course starts by emphasising the importance of assuming network breaches have already occurred. It then teaches you how to protect administrative credentials and rights through:

  • Mitigating malware threats
  • Identifying security issues through auditing and Windows Server features such as Advanced Threat Analysis
  • Securing your virtualisation platform
  • Using new deployment options such as Nano Server and containers to enhance security
  • Protecting access to files using encryption control
  • Enhancing your network security

In preparing you for the exam, you’ll also cover the protection of Active Directory and identity infrastructure and threat detection solutions. In addition, the exam covers threat detection solutions, such as auditing, implementing Advanced Threat Analytics (ATA), the understanding of Operations Management Suite (OMS) Solutions and workload-specific security.

Your increased skills will allow you to return to work with a holistic and well-developed understanding of how to improve the security of your IT-infrastructure.

Firebrand are a Microsoft Learning Partner. This means you’ll get Microsoft’s Official Curriculum (MOC), delivered by our experienced Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCT). Learning through our unique Lecture | Lab | Review technique means you’ll be exposed to both practical and theoretical tasks. This will help you learn and retain information easier.

You’ll be prepared for and sit your exam at the Firebrand Training Centre. This is covered by your Certification Guarantee.

This course is an elective for MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure certification.

This course is aimed at IT professionals who need to administer Windows Server 2016 and work with networks that are configured as Windows Server domain-based environments, with access to the Internet and cloud services.

"The instructor explained all the modals well, gave good insight in the exam and azure for administrators i hope to go further with my Azure and MS Certifications and this course has helped me greatly."
Harrison Williams, NHS - Clinical Commissioning Group. (13/7/2020 (Monday) to 16/7/2020 (Thursday))

"Firebrand has provided me with knowledge that will improve my skills in my working role as well as giving me more confidence that I can pass the MTA exams."
David Joynson, Kingfisher IT Services. (6/7/2020 (Monday) to 10/7/2020 (Friday))

"TSQL training with the instructor was great, very informative, interactive and beneficial. "
Anonymous (6/7/2020 (Monday) to 8/7/2020 (Wednesday))

"This was my first time training from home, but the experience was so good that this will be my preferred option for future courses."
Richard George, British Red Cross. (22/6/2020 (Monday) to 24/6/2020 (Wednesday))

"The instructor took time to teach the concepts using free flowing whiteboard sessions, followed by hands-on demonstrations, before going to the official course materials. Lessons were focused on both real-world and exam knowledge. I have been in many classes where the instructor just reads out the course materials and doesnt actually teach anything which was NOT the case here with Frebrand. The instructor explained things in a concise and easy to understand manner. One of the best instructors I have come across in over 20 years of attending IT courses."
James Tobin. (22/6/2020 (Monday) to 25/6/2020 (Thursday))
