On this 1-day Microsoft Cloud Workshop: Linux Lift & Shift, you'll learn the skills you need to migrate an existing Linux based deployment into Microsoft Azure.
Your expert Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), will take you through the process of configuring your existing Linux based deployment for availability, connectivity, monitoring and general best practices with Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Machine Scale Sets (VMSS) and Azure Web Apps with Linux.
During the workshop you'll learn to:
- Configure Linux VMs and VM Scale Sets in Azure for availability, storage, and connectivity
- Migrate data from on-premises to Microsoft
- Establish connectivity between multiple regions and on-premises to Azure
- Deploy and scale applications to Azure Web Apps on Linux
You'll be immersed in the Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) through our unique Lecture | Lab | Review technique, which combines theory and practical skills to help you retain information faster.
If you're a cloud architect and IT professional with architectural expertise of infrastructure and solutions design in cloud technologies and would like to learn more about Azure, this course is ideal for you.

- Deploy the on-premises OsTicket VM application
- Migrate to Azure IaaS VM Scale Sets and MySQL cluster
- Migrate the OsTicket application from Azure IaaS to PaaS
Prerequisites
Before attending this course, you should have:
- Experience in other non-Microsoft cloud technologies
- 300-level of architectural expertise in infrastructure and solutions design
