On this course, you will learn about the fundamental concepts, methods, and strategies for using Generative AI. You will gain a solid understanding of use cases where Generative AI can provide solutions and address business needs. Additionally, you will learn about practical insights into technologies related to Generative AI and how you can use those technologies to solve real-world problems. By the end of the Generative AI Essentials course, you will explore project planning and how to discuss implementation of Generative AI in your organisation.

In just 1 day, you will learn about foundation models, large language models, and how generative systems produce new content based on training data, as well as:

Exploring how organisations apply Generative AI to real problems such as document summarisation, knowledge search, content generation, and customer support assistants
Reviewing AWS services commonly used when building Generative AI applications
Discussing industry examples to help you evaluate where Generative AI is appropriate and where other approaches may be more suitable
Understanding the security and governance challenges associated with Generative AI applications, including data privacy, safe model use, and monitoring AI behaviour.

Prerequisites

This course is designed as an introductory exploration of Generative AI concepts and AWS services for learners from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.

You may benefit from having a basic familiarity with AWS cloud concepts, including the general idea of cloud services and how AWS resources are accessed through the console or APIs. However, deep technical experience is not required.
