TechHer — Skills Bootcamps for women in tech

Ladies, start your IT career with Microsoft Skills Bootcamps!

Pursuing a career in technology can be a great option for women looking for a challenging and rewarding career. Many IT roles allow for remote work, flexible schedules, and a good work-life balance, making it a great option for women who may have other responsibilities outside of work.

In recognition of this, Microsoft TechHer are offering a unique opportunity: a series of Skills Bootcamps in collaboration with Firebrand to help women excel in technology careers.

Microsoft technologies are used by millions of businesses and individuals around the world, making it a lucrative and in-demand skill set for IT professionals. Pursuing a career in Microsoft IT Engineering can lead to a wide range of job opportunities, including Systems Administrator, Cloud Solutions Architect, and DevOps Engineer.

The tech industry is constantly evolving, offering new chances for women to make a difference and have a significant impact. By pursuing a career in Microsoft IT Engineering, women can play a critical role in developing new technologies and solutions, making a positive impact on society.

How can I start?

These training courses are fully funded by the Government as part of the Skills for Life initiative, aimed at closing the skills gap and supporting new careers in technology.

In partnership with TechHer, Firebrand will be offering these courses in Cloud Data and IT Engineering for women of all backgrounds.

Once you've completed your Skills Bootcamp, you will attend an interview with one of Microsoft’s employer partners — Tisski, ANS Group, Incremental Group, Telefonica Tech, or Transparity.

1. Complete your 12-week training program online
2. Attend your guaranteed interview with one of Microsoft’s employer partners
3. Receive industry-recognised certifications and 6 months of career support from Firebrand

Skills Bootcamps in partnership with Microsoft TechHer will run from June 2023 and will provide interview opportunities with a variety of employers in the tech space. Please note that, due to funding requirements, Skills Bootcamps are only available in England.
