Named after the company's first location in 'Cisco,' short for San Francisco, Cisco Systems, Inc. was founded in 1984 by two Stanford University Computer Scientists who pioneered the concept of a local area network (LAN) used to connect distant computers over a multiprotocol router system.

What is Cisco CCNA?
If you're familiar with IT certifications, you may have heard of Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching.
Cisco retired all CCDA and CCNA certifications, including Routing and Switching, in 2020, replacing them with the course we're discussing here, Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions.
