Prerequisites

Before attending this course you must have previously passed either the vSphere 6 Foundations Exam or the vSphere 6.5 Foundations Exam

It is also expected that you have the following VMware infrastructure skills and are capable of:

Using VMware vSphere® Web Client to view the state of virtual machines, datastores, and networks
Opening a virtual machine console on VMware vCenter Server® and access the guest operating system
Creating snapshots of virtual machines
Configuring guest customization specifications
Modifying virtual machine properties
Converting a virtual machine into a template
Deploying a virtual machine from a template

It's also required that you have the following Microsoft Windows system administrator skills and are able to:

Configure Active Directory services, including DNS, DHCP, and time synchronization
Restrict users’ activities by implementing Group Policy objects
Configure Windows systems to allow Remote Desktop Connections
Build an ODBC connection to an SQL Server database
