Course spotlight — PMI Program Management Professional® (PgMP®)

Achieve your PgMP® in just 3 days with Firebrand.

If you're an experienced Project or Program Manager, you may consider attesting your skills by achieving the PMI Program Management Professional® certification, also known as PgMP®.

What does this certification entail? Could it be right for you?

Let's dive in.

What is PMI PgMP®?

Developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI), a top professional association based in the United States, PgMP® is aimed at seasoned Project and Program Management professionals who can manage multiple projects and navigate complex activities spanning functions, organisations, regions, and cultures.

This comprehensive course covers PMI’s Program Management framework, from Strategic Programme Management and Initiating, planning and executing a programme to Transition plan execution and programme closing. Achieving this certification attests that you have the skills and knowledge you need to handle complex projects.

Who is PgMP® for?

To apply for the PgMP® certification, you need to have at least four years of Project and Program Management experience within the last 15 years. If you cannot meet these eligibility requirements, consider taking the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification first, also developed by PMI. Achieving the PMP® will also help waive part of your prerequisites.

How long does PgMP® take?

At Firebrand, we specialise in accelerated courses. PMI PgMP® takes only 3 days.

We're proud to be a PMI Premier Authorised Training Partner. Our courses feature official PMP® content and, by studying with us, you can receive a free 12-month membership with PMI!

Where is the course delivered?

You can take the course in person at our distraction-free training centres, or online, through live instructor-led training.

What will you learn?

The course curriculum is comprised of the 5 PgMP® Domains:

  1. Domain 1: Strategic Programme Management
  2. Domain 2: Programme Life Cycle
  3. Domain 3: Benefits Management
  4. Domain 4: Stakeholder Management
  5. Domain 5: Governance

In addition, the PgMP® framework contains 72 tasks and a core list of 126 knowledge and skills applicable across all domains.

Does this course include an exam?

No. This course prepares you to take the official PgMP® exam; however, you need to schedule this on your own at least 21 days before your course starts. The exam fee is not included in your course fee.
