Prerequisites

Ideally, you should have a minimum of one year's experience deploying and administering multiple SharePoint 2013 farms across a large enterprise. Or, you should have at least 2 year's experience with SharePoint 2010 .

Before attending this course, you must have professional experience with the following:

  • Software management in a Windows Server 2012 or Windows 2012 R2 enterprise server environment.
  • Deploying and managing applications natively, virtually and in the cloud.
  • At least a one-year experience of mapping business requirements to both logical and physical technical designs.
  • Administering Internet Information Services (IIS).
  • Active Directory and configuring Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) for use in authentication, authorisation and as a user store.
  • Managing databases and server roles in SQL Server
  • Managing an application remotely using Windows PowerShell 4.0.
  • Connecting applications to Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Implementing Claims-based Security.
  • Using Hyper-V virtual machines

It is also important you understand the differences between SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013, particularly in terms of hybridisation.
