What is CompTIA Security+?

CompTIA's Security+ is a vendor-neutral certification developed with input from the tech industry, government, academia, and front-line practitioners. It's widely recognised and respected, ideal to add to your CV.

Security+ helps you develop the skills you need to operate within Cyber Security policies, laws, and regulations and identify and mitigate Cyber Security risks, ensuring that your company's infrastructure, applications, and operations are secure.

Who is Security+ for?

This course is for professionals with at least two years' experience in IT administration, focused on security. They need to be able to to identify basic network components and their roles, including routers, switches, firewalls and server roles, and understand the OSI Model and TCP/IP including IPv4 subnetting. 

At Firebrand, we recommend taking CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+ before taking this course.

How long does the course take?

At Firebrand, we specialise in accelerated training. This course takes only 4 days.

Where is the course delivered?

Delegates can take the course at our distraction-free training facility at Wyboston Lakes, Bedfordshire (accommodations & meals included), or online, through live instructor-led training.

Does this course include an exam?

Yes. As part of this accelerated course, delegates can sit the official CompTIA Security+ exam SY0-601 at the Firebrand Training Centre and return to work certified at twice the speed. Your test results will be revealed on the same day.
