The CIPP/E exam is designed to test your knowledge of European Data Protection laws and regulations, specifically the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
It’s a 2 1/2 -hour exam with 90 multiple-choice questions including scenarios. Half of the exam focuses on European Data Protection Law and Regulation and interpretative guidance from the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), while the other is dedicated to European Data Protection Practices.
Key topics range from GDPR Fundamentals, Data Subject Rights, and Cross-Border Data Transfers to Enforcement and Compliance, Legal requirements in the event of a data breach, and European and National Supervisory Authorities.
The exam is considered intermediate in difficulty.
