What you’ll learn
Hackers can always penetrate your system and so, when they do, the real issue is how you respond.
The EC-Council Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator® (CHFI®) course will teach you the entire digital forensics process and enable you to get hands-on experience with various forensic investigation tools and techniques.
This latest version of CHFI (v11) addresses the latest forensics examination techniques, including Linux and MAC forensics, as well as the laws and standards surrounding digital forensics.
At Firebrand, we're a multi-award-winning EC-Council Platinum Partner, the highest designation within EC-Council's Partner Program, as well as an EC-Council Accredited Training Center (ATC). Through our unique Lecture | Lab | Review method, you'll be immersed in digital forensics as you participate in new CHFI v11 labs centred around malware, database, cloud and anti-forensics techniques.
This course will prepare you for the CHFI exam (312-49), covered by the Firebrand Certification Guarantee. You will take the exam at the end of your course.
EC-Council's CHFI certification is accredited by the American National Standard Institute (ANSI). Organisations with ANSI accreditation are required to undergo stringent quality reviews and assessments. EC-Council is one of just a handful of certification bodies to achieve ANSI accreditation.
In just a few days, you'll learn to perform an effective digital forensics investigation, including crucial skills such as:
Identifying intruder footprints
Searching and seizing
Chain-of-custody
Acquisition
Preservation
Analysis and reporting of digital evidence
Gathering the necessary evidence to prosecute

A note on the Passing Score: In order to maintain the high integrity of our certifications exams, EC-Council Exams are provided in multiple forms (i.e. different question banks). Each form is carefully analyzed through beta testing with an appropriate sample group under the purview of a committee of subject matter experts that ensure that each of our exams not only has academic rigor but also has “real world” applicability. We also have a process to determine the difficulty rating of each question. The individual rating then contributes to an overall “Cut Score” for each exam form. To ensure each form has equal assessment standards, cut scores are set on a “per exam form” basis. Depending on which exam form is challenged, cut scores can range from 60% to 85%.

Yes, we do provide courses suitable for beginners. However, Firebrand's accelerated courses aren't easy and it's essential that you are interested and actively pursuing a career in IT.
Traditional training providers usually run their courses from 9am to 5pm. At Firebrand Training we maximise the number of learning hours to minimise the number of training days, so you’ll be back to your job as quickly as possible.
Firebrand's accelerated courses are constantly reviewed. We ask our delegates for feedback after every course. We are official partners with leading vendors and therefore, we're provided with certification changes and updates, which we can then implement in our course delivery at a very early stage. This feedback is then analysed in view of changes or discrepancies. We will then address the topics mentioned and have a panel of subject matter experts provide us with valuable suggestions for improvement and solutions.
If you need to learn new skills and you want to be able to put them into practice quickly, then Firebrand is the right training company for you.
Our unique accelerated training method means that we are your fastest way to learn.
