One of our most popular courses, the EC-Council Certified Incident Handler (E|CIH) has recently updated from v2 to v3.
This standard update occurs every 3 to 4 years to ensure the course is relevant to new technologies and industry changes.
The main changes in v3 are:
- The labs have received a complete overhaul, from 50 to 95, including 22 attack scenarios
- A new module has been added to extend incident handling to additional endpoints: Handling and Responding to Cloud Security Incidents and Endpoint Security Incidents (Mobile, IoT, OT)
- The course includes new and updated operating systems, enabling more resources to be brought into the labs
- Templates and checklists have been added, from 90 to now 125 – that’s 35 new resources that can be taken out of the classroom and used on the job
- The course has received 11 new Playbooks
There have also been changes to the E|CIH curriculum.

- Introduction to Incident Handling and Response
- Incident Handling and Response Process
- First Response
- Handling and Responding to Malware Incidents
- Handling and Responding to Email Security Incidents
- Handling and Responding to Network Security Incidents
- Handling and Responding to Web Application Security Incidents
- Handling and Responding to Cloud Security Incidents
- Handling and Responding to Insider Threats
- Handling and Responding to Endpoint Security Incidents
