Course update — EC-Council Certified Incident Handler v3

One of our most popular courses, the EC-Council Certified Incident Handler (E|CIH) has recently updated from v2 to v3.

This standard update occurs every 3 to 4 years to ensure the course is relevant to new technologies and industry changes.

The main changes in v3 are:

• The labs have received a complete overhaul, from 50 to 95, including 22 attack scenarios
• A new module has been added to extend incident handling to additional endpoints: Handling and Responding to Cloud Security Incidents and Endpoint Security Incidents (Mobile, IoT, OT)
• The course includes new and updated operating systems, enabling more resources to be brought into the labs
• Templates and checklists have been added, from 90 to now 125 – that’s 35 new resources that can be taken out of the classroom and used on the job
• The course has received 11 new Playbooks

There have also been changes to the E|CIH curriculum.

5. Handling and Responding to Email Security Incidents
6. Handling and Responding to Network Security Incidents

9. Handling and Responding to Insider Threats
10. Handling and Responding to Endpoint Security Incidents
