The Free Training for Life Winner 2020 is...

Firebrand Training are delighted to announce the winner of this year's FTFL competition is Scott Jackson!

Scott is from Middlesbrough, UK and is a network engineer and web developer for the NHS.

Pre-Covid-19, the winner would be invited to the Firebrand Headquarters for a ceremony - this year, we went virtual. 

When asked how it felt to win a prize worth over £1 million, Scott said “Amazing! I didn't realise the size of the course list that Firebrand can offer, I can’t wait to get started on some!”

Scott plans to take Cisco’s CCNA course first. With his transition from a “developer background into doing network engineering and telephony” the CCNA certification will help him “move onto that next step, and even a few further steps that I was not expecting to!”

Scott happens to be a Firebrand Alumni and had this to say about his experience in 2019:

“It was really nice to have everything in one place, from staying in the hotel to getting all your food catered for. It gives you the option to switch off from distractions and really focus on learning and passing the test”.

Firebrand CEO and co-founder, Robert Chapman, asked Scott how he would prefer to take courses.

Whether he planned on using our Online Instructor-led (OIL) service, or if he planned to travel to our training centre:

“It’s good that the choice is there to do both. I live about four hours away from Wyboston, so being able to do the courses online is brilliant.

However, I have a colleague who attended a course with you last week at Wyboston and he said that the social distancing and everything you have in place is really good. So I’m happy to be able to make that choice”.

Scott is Firebrand’s 7th FTFL Winner and joins Dean, Jennifer, Joseph, Darren, Mario and Arjan.
