Survey: 14% salary rise in line for Microsoft Dynamics professionals

By Sarah Morgan

We recently posted a blog post asking you to participate in Nigel Franks 2013 Microsoft Dynamics Survey, and the results have now come through.

The survey found that global demand for Microsoft Dynamics skills continues to drive high salaries for IT professionals with the relevant knowledge and experience. It was also found that salaries for permanent staff are increasing by an average of 4%.

Salary raise

Average salaries for Microsoft Dynamics project managers and technical architects have risen by 9% and 14%, respectively, since last year’s survey.

Technical architects had some of the largest salaries among Dynamics professionals, with salaries of £95,000 for those experienced in Dynamics AX, £75,000 for NAV, £95,000 for CRM and £75,000 for GP, the survey found. Freelancers can earn up to £700 per day.

Dynamics professionals leaving their job due to lack of training

On the other hand, 35% said they plan to leave their current job during the next 12 months, with 36% of them blaming the lack of training and development prospects on offer at their current employer.

Because of this, openings should be popping up in many places for those with the right expertise. 45% of those looking to change jobs are also considering moving to another country, with the U.S, U.K, and Germany as the top choices.

Chief Executive of Nigel Frank, Sean Wadsworth, stated that “Overall, confidence in the Dynamics product is high amongst the community with 86% of those surveyed being satisfied with Dynamics as a product and less than four per cent considering another ERP or CRM,”.

“Interestingly, the biggest source of dissatisfaction was lack of training and development. However, those looking to leave within the next 12 months are more motivated by money or career prospects than lack of trading.”

The full report is expected to come out in June.
