What are Skills Bootcamps and how do they work?
Skills Bootcamps – part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs – have been developed in partnership with employers, colleges and local authorities. They are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.
At the same time, they can help you recruit and develop a loyal and talented workforce with the digital and technical skills your business needs.
Skills Bootcamps are set to transform the skills landscape, underlining the important links between adult skills and jobs, keeping employers at the heart of the FE system.
This is where Firebrand’s expertise comes in!
Our 12-week Skills Bootcamps in digital and technical skills focus on the development of high-level IT skills, combined with the core work skills that we know employers value.
By delivering training virtually in our interactive online instructor led classroom we can ensure that Skills Bootcamps are both flexible and accessible, making them as COVID-resilient as possible.
Our training supports the development of soft skills including communication, collaboration and critical thinking alongside market-leading technical training. It develops skills for employment through additional career guidance and support is provided through access to self-study.
And finally, we ensure that our learners can also have a weekly check-in with a dedicated Success Coach.
Why are Firebrand’s Skills Bootcamps right for my business?
Whether you’re a small or large employer in England, Firebrand have a Skills Bootcamp in digital and technical skills to suit you. Your involvement is important to us and we will work with you to design the training to meet your needs.
Employers tell us that a motivated, loyal workforce improves their productivity, so if you are looking to develop your existing employees with the skills your business needs then Skills Bootcamps could be the right way to go for your business. There’s also an opportunity for you to be involved after your Skills Bootcamp by offering a guaranteed interview to an individual - perhaps someone looking to retrain in a subject relevant to your business, or someone who has recently been made redundant – a great chance for you to give your support to people affected by the economic impact of COVID-19.
