This certification retired on 24th February 2020. Our closest replacement is CCNA.
When you pass the Cisco ICND2 exam, you'll upgrade your CCENT certification to the CCNA. On the course, you'll learn how to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot a small-to-medium-sized network environments. This accelerated three-day course focuses on the following:
- Redundant topologies
- Troubleshooting common network issues
- Configuring EIGRP
- Multi-area OSPF in both IPv4 and IPv6
- Wide Area Network technologies
- Device management
- Cisco licensing
- Using Cisco Catalyst switches
- Cisco routers connected in LANs and WANs
This certification is 40% faster than traditional training. During the week, you’ll take the ICND2 exam which completes your CCNA certification.

You’ll work in pairs and share a “pod” of equipment located in a rack. You have your own 2811 router and 2960 switch, access to additional equipment such as a Frame-Relay switch, along with additional routers and switches should you wish to tinker.

Prerequisites
In order to sit the exam - and take the last step to get your CCNA certification - you must already have the CCENT (ICND1) certification and working knowledge of the Windows operating system.
