Leon Henery's Story

I have always been a technology junkie. I did my first programming course in COBOL in 1997 and started my career as a programmer shortly after. I worked with many technologies and learned a multitude of programming languages. I have a degree in Information Technology and Management which I pursued when my natural leadership skills pushed me into leadership roles which included IT Manager.

The last couple of years I reverted back to programming but was finding myself out of touch with the latest programming architectures and thus the reason for pursuing an accelerated training course. My love for programming never died and my unique ability to work with programmers and the business is what sets me apart from the rest.

I chose to do the MCSD App Builder (9-day) course through Firebrand due to its USP in offering the course, accommodation and meals in an all-inclusive, high octane and hands-on environment. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and although I did not pass all the exams this time, I will be back for more training as their guarantee for free training if you fail, truly makes THEM stand out above the rest.

My career aspirations are to have my own software business specialising in full stack solutions and data science. Learning about Azure cloud has really opened my eyes to the opportunities still out there and I will not rest until I have succeeded in building my own successful company. Learning will play a vital role in achieving this goal and I will not hesitate to use Firebrand as my preferred training partner.
