Lee Bhagat's Story

I began working in IT after studying to become an Electronics Engineer. After 3 years in electronics I moved into IT support. Starting in 1st Line Support in the education industry, I moved into IT support for a media company.

Then, after 5 years, I moved into 3rd Line Support in the Insurance sector working for a global Lloyds reinsurance company. After 10 years with this employer and promotion to IT Operations Manager, I moved to my current employer over 2 years ago. Here, I head up the Infrastructure and Security for another global insurance company.

I chose Firebrand for the CISSP, as it offered the best chance for isolated training, So I can gather the skills to support my role as a security professional. This is my first course with Firebrand and I am very impressed with all aspects of the course and how its delivered.

Future plans are to continue to develop my security skills with the aim to transfer these skills to supporting the industry work in. I plan to move into a consultancy role, delivering IT solutions to businesses with a focus on security.

Learning and certification demonstrates your skills and understanding of the industry you are working in, and gives confidence to potential clients/employers that you understand the areas you operate inside.
