Examination Passing Policy

Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year.  Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.

  • ** Examination vouchers are not included for the following courses: PMI, GIAC, CREST and CISSP CBK Review. Exam vouchers may also not be included for Apprentices and will require a separate purchase by an employer due to Education and Skills Funding Agency guidelines.

Before attending this course, you should have at least 6 months of hands-on experience working with Azure infrastructure. This includes an understanding of:

  • On-premises virtualisation technologies including virtual machines, virtual networking, and virtual hard disks
  • Network configuration including TCP/IP, DNS, virtual private networks, firewalls, and encryption technologies
  • Websites including creating, configuring, monitoring and deploying a website on Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • Active Directory concepts including Domains, Forests, Domain Controllers, replication, Kerberos, and LDAP
  • Database concepts including Tables, queries, Structured Query Language (SQL), and database schemas
  • Resilience and disaster recovery including backup and restore operations

Completing the MCSA: Windows Server 2012 will also meet the prerequisites.

You should also have Azure development experience with the ability to:

  • Compare the services available in the Azure platform
  • Configure and deploy web applications
  • Create Azure websites using the gallery
  • Deploying and monitoring Azure websites
  • Create and configure Azure Virtual Machines
  • Describe the relationship between Cloud Services and Virtual Machines
  • Deploy existing Cloud Service packages
  • Create and manage a Storage account
  • Manage blobs and containers in a Storage account
  • Create, configure and connect to a SQL Databases instance
  • Identify the implications of importing a SQL Standalone database
  • Manage users, groups and subscriptions in an Azure Active Directory instance
  • Create a virtual network
  • Implement a point to site network
