Firebrand at Work Hounslow Careers, Jobs and Training Summer Fair!

Our Skills Bootcamps team had a great time yesterday at the Work Hounslow Job and Careers Fair!

In alignment with the London Borough of Hounslow's Corporate Plan, Ambitious for Hounslow (2022-26), the fair aimed to showcase career pathways and prospects such as training programs, job openings, apprenticeships, and internships specifically designed for Hounslow residents and businesses.

After setting up our stand, we spent time talking to potential learners about how they can kick-start their careers in tech.

We spoke to a variety of people who were finding out about Skills Bootcamps for the first time—What are Skills Bootcamps and how can they help your career? Many took information away to research or share with friends and family, while others signed up on the spot!

Interested residents also found out about our current Skills Bootcamps local to Hounslow and London, which we run in collaboration with tech industry employers.

A few people were specifically looking to start a career in Data, so we directed them toward our current opportunities with The Information Lab, a company that helps people understand data using Tableau and Alteryx.

Another of our partners, Cisco, are looking for individuals with some coding experience to apply for several roles within the business, which will begin next year, in summer 2024. Many Hounslow residents interested in Software sought out this opportunity, as some Cisco roles are based in Feltham.
