What is the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt™?

Developed by Motorola US in the 1980s, Six Sigma is a business management strategy a business management strategy that focuses on three areas: Improvement, Change, and Project Management.

It seeks to improve quality by identifying and removing the causes of defects and streamlining processes.

The Six Sigma organisational structure is comprised of Belts™ from Yellow to Black.

The Yellow Belt™ is a Lean Six Sigma survival kit for managers and professionals who need to apply this methodology to their work. It can also be used to raise awareness of Six Sigma within companies and teams.

This belt is suitable for Team Managers, Project Managers, Programme Managers, Improvement Managers, Change Managers, as well as Managers in Finance, IT, and HR.

 

Who is this course for?

The Yellow Belt™ is an introductory course suitable for supervisors, project leaders, team members, and managers. You do not have to have previous experience in this field or Project Management to attend this course.

How long does the Yellow Belt™ take?

The course progresses from Six Sigma fundamentals, selecting Lean Six Sigma projects, and the lean enterprise to Six Sigma statistics and control plans.

Yes. As part of this accelerated course, delegates receive a voucher for the official IASSC® Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt™ ICYB™ exam that they can sit remotely.
