GIAC - Cloud Threat Detection (GCTD)

This accelerated GIAC Cloud Threat Detection (GCTD) certification validates a practitioner's ability to detect and investigate suspicious activity in cloud infrastructure. GCTD-certified professionals are experienced in cyber threat intelligence, secure cloud configuration, and other practices needed to defend cloud solutions and services.

In just 2 days, you’ll gain an understanding of cloud automation options and the ability to create a simple automated response workflow. You’ll be able to:

• Understand the unique security concerns related to the cloud, as well as a knowledge of cloud access, monitoring, and data collection sources.
• Demonstrate Containers and Cloud Proxies
• Demonstrate an understanding of containers and cloud proxy services, as well as common threats and log sources.
• Demonstrate an understanding of types and sources of cyber threat intelligence and their use.
• Demonstrate the ability to conduct a basic vulnerability assessment and perform data discovery activities.
• Demonstrate a hands-on ability to configure and access host-based logs in Microsoft and Amazon cloud environments.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform inventory discovery tasks and knowledge of cloud configuration tools.
• Demonstrate an understanding of monitoring and detection tools and perform basic investigation against logs using cloud-based tools.
• Demonstrate a hands-on ability to configure and access network logs in Microsoft and Amazon cloud environments.

At the end of this course, you’ll sit the GIAC exam, and achieve your GIAC Cloud Threat Detection (GCTD) certification.
