Overview

Get hands-on Windows 8 experience on this accelerated three-day course. Learn how to install, upgrade, and license the latest version of the Windows Client operating system. This course is 40% faster than traditional training.

After this course, you'll be able to:

  • Create simple, spanned, and striped volumes to manage storage
  • Optimise file-system performance
  • Use quotas to manage available disk space
  • Install and manage printers
  • Install and configure Windows Store apps

You'll also work with Windows tools and services to troubleshoot performance and reliability issues, and to determine the source. You'll learn how to configure networking to include IPv4 and IPv6. And how to connect to wireless networks, and use the networking features to troubleshoot networking issues.

In addition, you'll learn preventive measures and tools, that work together to protect your computers from security threats. And you'll cover the following features of file and folder management:

Prerequisites

In addition to your professional experience, you should have the following technical knowledge:
