Overview
Get the knowledge and skills you need to maintain a Microsoft SQL Server database. You'll master SQL Server querying, administration and implementation of a Data Warehouse. Microsoft has updated its official courseware, to include training for SQL Server 2014. This complements the SQL Server 2012 content that is already within the curriculum. What you learn on this course will be applicable to both SQL Server 2012 and 2014.

Prerequisites
In addition to professional experience, you must have the following, to successfully get your SQL certification:
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and its core functionality
- Working knowledge of Transact-SQL
- Working knowledge of relational databases
- Experience with database design
- Understanding of virtualisation technology (Classroom labs utilise virtual machines)
- Minimum two years’ experience of working with relational databases, including:
- Designing a normalized database
- Creating tables and relationships
- Querying with Transact-SQL
- Exposure to basic programming constructs (such as looping and branching)
Being aware of key business priorities such as revenue, profitability, and financial accounting is also recommended.
