Tips to get started with Big Data

If your company is not using Big Data, there's no better time to start. Our instructor, Maroof Raouf shares his tips on getting started with Big Data.

There are many ways you can collect and analyse Big Data, and it can provide you with valuable insights to improve your business.

How to get started with Big Data?

1. Identify your goals

What do you want to achieve with Big Data? Do you want to improve your decision-making, increase efficiency, or enhance customer service?

2. Choose tools and technologies

There are so many tools and technologies that can be used to collect, store, and analyse Big Data. Which ones are right for the goals you've established, as well as for the sensitivity of your Data?

3. Break your needs down

Given the complexity of this technology, it can be tempting to try to do everything at once. However, this will only lead to setbacks. Instead, break your needs down into smaller projects, prioritize them, and build on them as you develop.

4. Get expert help

If you're not familiar with Big Data, consider hiring a consultant or investing in CPD for you and your emloyees.

There are many resources out there that can help you get started; however, not all resources are made equal. You get what you pay for!

Big Data is one of the, if not the, most powerful tool that can help organisations improve operations and make more reliable decisions. If you're not already using Big Data, now's the time to start.
