Overview
On this accelerated 2 day MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure (Cloud Data Platform Solutions) course, you’ll learn the skills to design and implement cloud data platform solutions with Microsoft Data Platform - using SQL Server on-premises.
You'll learn to design and implement scalable solutions using both on-premises and Microsoft Azure cloud-based solutions. You'll learn how to deliver a high availability and disaster resistant cloud solution to your business, 50% faster than traditional training.
Through Firebrand’s unique Lecture | Lab | Review technique, your Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) will immerse you in topics teaching you the skills to:
- Design and implement solutions on Azure using SQL Server

The Data Platform – Designing and Implementing Cloud Data Platform Solutions course is for those looking to improve and validate their knowledge and skills designing and implementing Microsoft data platform solutions. If you are a database professional looking to enhance your SQL Server skills with hybrid solutions and cloud solution architecture using the Microsoft Data Platform, this course is ideal.
Passing exam 70-473 previously resulted in achieving Microsoft Specialist: Designing and Implementing Cloud Data Platform Solutions certification.
Microsoft retired the Specialist credential on 31 March, 2017. The exams remain available and where applicable will count towards the relevant existing MCSA, MCSE or MCSD certification.

Before attending this accelerated course, Firebrand recommend you possess a good understanding of SQL Server.
You will also benefit from having a certification in either of the following two MCSA: SQL Server 2016 - Database Administration exams:
- Exam 70-764: Administering a SQL Database Infrastructure
- Exam 70-765: Provisioning SQL Databases
If you have not yet passed Exam 70-765: Provisioning SQL Databases (or taken the 20765 course), it is essential that you complete the course pre-reading. This will be provided to you upon booking.
