Overview

On this accelerated CREST Certified Threat Intelligence Manager (CCTIM) course, you'll gain expert skills and knowledge to be able to build, implement and manage a cyber threat intelligence team or department effectively – aligned to your organisation's cyber security strategy and goals, and to provide actionable intelligence to senior stakeholders.

In just 4 days, you’ll learn to analyse physical, functional, or behavioural relationships in order to develop an understanding of attackers and their objectives, as well as evaluate gaps and limitations in cyber threat intelligence provision. You'll also build knowledge on:

Locating public sources detailing common security risks leveraged by threat actors
Communicating the tools, tactics and procedures used by threat actors and using this information to prioritise security controls
Evaluating gaps and limitations in cyber threat intelligence provision

Exam Track

As part of your accelerated course, you'll prepare for the following exams:

CREST Certified Threat Intelligence Manager (CCTIM) Part 1 exam

Duration: 3 hours
Passing score: 126/180 marks (70%)
Format: 150 questions and 1 written scenario question

CREST Certified Threat Intelligence Manager (CCTIM) Part 2 exam

Duration: 3 hours
Passing score: 42/60 marks for written questions; 84/120 marks for scenario question (70%)
Format: 3 written questions and 1 written scenario question

There are two separate sessions you'll need to take in order to receive your CCTIM certification - TIM 1 and TIM 2. TIM1 must be taken before TIM 2, and TIM 2 must be taken within 3 months of TIM 1.

You'll need to pass both exams in order to receive your CCTIM certification.

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, you should have experience in:

A senior Cyber Threat Intelligence role
Managing or leading security practitioners with experience in CTI

You should also have knowledge of business practices within your organisation, your organisation’s risk management processes and any IT user security policies, and ideally have one of the following certifications or equivalent:

Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst training
CREST’s CRTIA certification
