Module 1:  Hardware Peripherals and Components

• Understand the different HID used on computers and mobile devices
• Understand the different components that come together for various commercial and domestic computing.
• Understand the different upgradability that can take place with various devices including computers, servers and laptops
• Recognise opportunities that support customer goals from hardware options available in organisational portfolio

Module 2: Software Licencing

• Understand the different types of software licencing that may be adopted by vendors (CAL, Multi-Access, Subscriptions)
• Understand the different restrictions with use of Software and Open Source software
• Understand the different features and benefits from various popular software licences (Microsoft, Cisco, etc)
• Understand the software solutions available in your organisation and how these are best promoted to support customers goals and vision

Module 3: Networking

• Understand the different components that come together to create a network.
• Understand the different types of network topologies that are used within business.
• Understand emerging technologies that are available within networking including wired and wireless networks
• Understand the advancements of cellular connections
• Understand the opportunities to upgrade and promote new networking opportunities for clients and customers.

Module 4: Cloud Technologies

• Understand the concepts of Cloud and Cloud Computing
• Recognise the different between similar product lines such as Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google Cloud
• Understand the different ways in which business adopt cloud technologies in collaborative and unified communication based environments - such as remote working and working across multiple sites.
• Reflect on the organisational portfolio to explore options that can be suitable for various customers and share this within peer groups.
