Overview
On this accelerated APMG Agile Project Management Foundation and Practitioner course, you’ll gain a thorough understanding of the DSDM Agile Project Management framework, and how as a project manager, you’ll apply the framework into your business strategies.
In just 3 days, you’ll build knowledge on the philosophy, principle and lifecycle of an Agile project. You’ll also learn the:
- Products produced during an Agile project and their purpose.
- Techniques used and their benefits and limitations.
- Roles and responsibilities within an Agile project
Successful exam candidates who achieve an Agile Business certification can claim a free 3-month membership with APMG.
This is a combined course, so you’ll sit both the APMG Agile Project Management Foundation and the APMG Agile Project Management Practitioner exam, to achieve your certifications.

APMG Agile Project Management Foundation
- Section 1: The underpinning philosophy and principles of Agile
- Section 2: The lifecycle of an Agile project, including alternative configurations
- Section 3: The products produced during an Agile project and their purpose
- Section 4: The techniques used and their benefits and limitations
- Section 5: The roles and responsibilities within an Agile project
APMG Agile Project Management Practitioner
- Section 1: How to apply a variety of agile practices to a project, for example, workshops, the MoSCoW technique to define project priorities, iterative development and modeling
- Section 2: How to test, estimate and evaluate profit delivery in an Agile project
- Section 3: Facilitation and support mechanisms within an Agile project
- Section 4: The agile approach to manage and prioritise requirements
Exam Track
As part of this accelerated course, you’ll sit the following exam at the Firebrand Training centre, covered by your Certification Guarantee:
APMG Agile Project Management Foundation exam
- Format: Multiple-choice, closed book
- Number of questions: 50
- Passing score: 50% (25/50)
- Duration: 40 minutes
APMG Agile Project Management Practitioner exam
- Format: Objective-examination, open-book (only the official AgilePM manual is allowed)
- Number of questions: 4 (20 points per question)
- Passing score: 50% (40/80)
- Duration: 2.5 hours
Please note that you cannot take the practitioner exam if you fail the foundation exam.
The validity period for all APMG exams will be limited to 12 months from the booking date. Requests to reschedule within this period will be accepted in the usual way, but extensions beyond this period will not be possible.

Prerequisites
It is recommended (but not essential) for delegates to have experience in team leading, project management, project assurance/support or user management. Please note, you are not able to take Agile Practitioner examination without first passing Agile Foundation.
