IBM - Introduction to Data Science certification
Overview
On this accelerated IBM Introduction to Data Science course, you'll learn the foundational skills of a Data Scientist: what the role entails and the basics behind data analysis and data-driven decisions.
In just 2 days, you'll build knowledge on key concepts like big data, statistical analysis, and relational databases, and gain familiarity with various open-source tools and data science programs used by data scientists, like Jupyter Notebooks, RStudio, GitHub, and SQL. You'll also learn:
- What programming languages they can execute, their features and limitations
- The major steps involved in tackling a data science problem
- Work with real databases, real data science tools, and real-world datasets
At the end of this course, you'll receive a Specialisation Completion Certificate, and a Digital Badge from IBM, recognising you as a specialist in data science foundations. Prerequisites
Before attending this accelerated course, you should have basic:
- Programming experience with Python or Scala (syntax, conditions, loops, functions)
- Knowledge of SQL concepts (select, filter, groupby, join, etc)
