IBM - Applied Data Science Capstone
Overview
On this accelerated IBM Applied Data Science Capstone course, you’ll gain knowledge of location data and different location data providers, like Foursquare, to support your business' scalability and security. You will learn how to make RESTful API calls to the Foursquare API to retrieve data about venues in different neighbourhoods around the world.
In just 2 days, you'll discover how to be creative in situations where data is not readily available by scraping web data and parsing HTML code. You’ll also build knowledge on:
- What location data is normally composed of
- How to scrape website and parse HTML code using the Python package Beautifulsoup, and convert data into a pandas data frame
- Define a problem and discuss how to solve it using data
At the end of this course, you’ll sit the IBM Applied Data Science Capstone exam and achieve your certification.
