Overview

On this 3-day accelerated MCSE: Cloud Platform & Infrastructure (Deploying a Private Cloud) course, you'll learn the skills required to configure and deploy a cloud using Microsoft System Center 2012 R2.

As our Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCT) guide you through the latest Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) you'll learn a wide range of skills, including:

  • Produce a high-level design that accounts for requirements for cloud environments
  • Configure a PXE server, an update server and a software update baseline
  • Configure Microsoft Server Application Virtualisation (App-V) so that it can be sued to sequence and deploy an application virtually
  • Understand how to monitor clouds using operations Manager
  • Set up, configure and integrate the core components of Service Manager into a cloud fabric
  • Gain the knowledge necessary to deploy and configure Data Protection Manager in a cloud
  • Deploy and configure Orchestrator in a cloud, and then integrate it with other System Center components

You'll learn these skills through our unique Lecture | Lab | Review technique. This technique combines theoretical knowledge with practical tasks to accelerate your learning and ensure you're equipped with the hands-on skills to apply your new knowledge when you return to work.

On this course, you'll be prepared for and sit the 70-247: Configuring and Deploying a Private Cloud with System Center 2012 exam. This is covered by your Certification Guarantee. This exam is an elective for the MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure certification.

This course is intended for cloud administrators who will be responsible for designing, installing and configuring a cloud infrastructure.
