This course is aligned to the latest APMG Change Management v3 syllabus, reflecting the most up to date thinking and best practice in organisational change. Developed in partnership with the Change Management Institute, the certification equips professionals with proven frameworks and practical techniques to help organisations and their people navigate change effectively and achieve lasting transformation.

Designed for those involved in delivering, supporting, or leading change, this course provides a practical, people centred approach to managing the human impact of transformation. You’ll explore how individuals and organisations respond to change, how resistance emerges, and how change initiatives can be planned and implemented to maximise adoption and benefits realisation.

On this course, you’ll learn the knowledge, proven methods and techniques to:

Change Management Foundation Exam

• Format: Multiple-choice
• Passing Score: 25 marks required to pass (out of 50 available): 50%
• Duration: 40 minutes, Closed-book

Change Management Practitioner Exam

• Format: Objective testing based on a case study scenario
• Number of questions: 5 sections of 16 marks each
• Passing Score: 40 marks required to pass (out of 80 available): 50%
• Duration: 2.5 hours

The validity period for all APMG exams will be limited to 12 months from the booking date. Requests to reschedule within this period will be accepted in the usual way, but extensions beyond this period will not be possible.

This qualification is aimed at individuals who are actively involved in providing dedicated support to change initiatives who require a working knowledge of the key principles of change management, who need to know the terminology used and some of the theory behind the practice.

This qualification is aimed at change managers and aspiring change managers. It also relevant to other key staff involved in the design, development and delivery of change programmes, including: change leaders (e.g. Senior Responsible Owners), change ‘agents’ (e.g. Business Change Managers), change implementers (e.g. Programme Managers), change support (e.g. Programme Office) and operational line leaders/staff.
